One Sun Designs: Heather Skau

Heather Skau has operated a busy boutique photography studio in the Sarasota, Florida area for ten years, specializing in baby, child, and family portraiture. Her skill at bringing out the best in her small subjects, making families feel relaxed during their sessions, and always insisting on top-quality products has gained her a loyal clientele in this arts-driven city. When Heather needed an assistant, she hired her niece, Hannah, then just 13 years old, to do various studio tasks. It didn't take long for Heather to realize that Hannah's skills went far beyond album assembly and packaging orders, and she began teaching Hannah to use editing and design programs. By the age of 15, Hannah was proofing sessions and creating collages and storybooks for clients right alongside Heather. Heather has always loved creating unique designs for her photography clients, and in 2008 she and Hannah decided to focus a bit more on this passion by starting One Sun Designs. Hannah is in college now, studying interior design, and works remotely from school."
